Almost made it through Jan

In most years, January is the hardest month of the year. You are making those first payments on all the stuff you put on your credit cards for Christmas, trying to set up and fit in all the goals that you have for 2013, and most of all you still have family that you are trying to fit in time with.  Usually by the end of January, people have reverted back to what they were doing at the end of 2012 as it worked. But no matter your goals for this year, YOU made those goals so they have to be important to you. You didn't say you were going to get organized for the heck of telling someone something when they asked about your goals for 2013. You made these goals and it up to YOU to figure out how to work your life around to be able to fit everything into your life and make it work. If something isn't working, don't give up and revert back to your old way, try something new. Everyone is different and so are their lives. Just because I can fit in going to the gym 5 days a week so I might not have to hit the food front as bad doesn't mean that the lady that lives next door might have 4 children and can only get to the gym an hour a week. We can both loose weight but my way is just different. So before giving up on your goals, try different ways until you find something that works for you so in 2014, you won't have to have the same goals in 2013 as you already fulfilled them!

How are you doing?

I get this question  and sometimes just don't know how to answer. Most of the time people don't really care how you are really feeling or doing. They are just being polite by asking. But for those that really do love and care for you, what do you say to them? As a women, it is important to be honest those that are closest to you. To many times I have turned on the TV or read on the Internet about a mom who killed her kids because of stress. It just got to much and she kept it inside. So PLEASE if someone like a family member, good friend or spouse asks you how you are, please be honest. Let them know if things are stressful and you really just need a break from life to relax or if you are upset and sad, talk to them as this is going to make life easier for not only yourself but those that are around you. Also if you are stressed often or there are large problems in your life, do NOT feel embarrassed with going to a therapist. It is a chance to talk to someone you don't know and to be honest.  Getting your feelings out there and heard is important for you mental health and thus your physical health as well!!

Keep Smiling!

Regrets

Throughout life, everyone is going to have things that they regret. With the start of 2013, it is a new beginning. It is time to let go of things that have happened in the past and look forward to things that are going to happen in the future. 2013 is a blank paper and it is time to write your story! So, take a moment to reflect on those regrets. Cry, scream, write letters or anything that you need to get those emotions and feelings about those regrets going and let them out.  Let all those feelings go and start a new. Lost a friend because of  stupidity, get on line and make new ones.  Hurt someone, ask for forgiveness and if they are not able or ready to give it, then know that you tried everything you could to make them understand the situation and move on. Life is to short and full of stress to hold onto things that may never be resolved. So in 2013, let things go and know nothing is worth stressing about.
