Being You!

I can honestly say that this was the hardest concept for me to understand growing up.  I always felt that I was an outcast so I always believed that changing myself was what I needed to do to make people love me. As I got older I began to understand that confidence of who I really am is how you get people to accept you, not being skinny or the way you look. BUT you also have to get to the point that you love yourself. It has taken me many years to say, I love me.  I might have red hair and not look exactly like everyone else but again I am me, I am not anyone else. I'm a fun loving girls who loves horror movies, animals and have a passion for music and writing. I don't like mice, lizards, snakes or people who believe they are better then everyone else. I look in the mirror and see someone who has a lot to give the world. Someone who has learnt to laugh at herself instead of getting upset and to grab a problem my the tail and run with it cause getting upset about something doesn't fix it, hard work does.  So I want you, yet you reading this, to go look in a mirror. Look at who you are and love who you are. Every bit of yourself... The good and the bad. Accept that if there are things about yourself that you don't like, you are the only one that can change it. YOU are the only person that has to love you.

Please feel free to leave comments about any concepts or reaction to the blog.

New Year's Resolutions

I have noticed over the years that no matter how skinny or fluffy you are, almost every woman out there makes a new year's resolution to lose weight. Why is this? Shouldn't we all make a new year’s resolution to love ourselves? And if that includes losing weight then you should set your goal to be healthy as a long term goal. SO I have some wonderful websites for those, including myself, that might want to make healthier chooses for 2013.

1) http://www.sparkpeople.com/

This website has it all.. Recipes, exercise logs and even forums where you can talk to other people having the same struggles you are. Because support is the first step to success

2) http://www.weightwatchers.com/plan/index.aspx

My mom swears by weight watchers. I know that is has a good programs and with meetings you will have support and be able to make new friends on an incredible journey

Please if anyone knows of any other sites that they would like to share, please feel free to share them in the comments. And always remembers, love yourself and always know how beautiful you are on the inside and out!
